I did it!
I bit the bullet and I sent a message (via myspace) to my best friend from high school. There's a long story/history there that I won't bore you all with, but I'm really proud of myself for having the guts to do it. Maybe I won't hear back from her, but at least the ball is in her court now. And I won't have to wonder "what if . . . " the rest of my life. And sometimes not knowing is worse that knowing the truth. . . . right? ;)

Great job! I know how difficult it is to face the past...I'm impressed, I don't know if I could do that!
Good for you! I did the same thing about 5 years ago and it was like we were never apart.

No reply (yet), but that doesn't really surprise me. I don't expect to hear back because she's the kind of person that writes people off pretty easily and holds grudges (at least she WAS, I should say). But I gave her an opening and I feel like a weight is lifted off my shoulders.
