My last night in San Diego we ventured across the "big blue bridge" (trying saying that 5 times fast) to Coronado Island. We saw Hotel del Coronado ~ made famous by the Marilyn Monroe film "Some Like It Hot". It was HUGE and very intimidating. They wanted $80 in the gift shop for a polo shirt; I don't really want to know how much it costs to stay there.

During the summer it gets $450/night. It drops down to $350/night in the winter and sometimes you can get deals for around $275.00. Their Sunday 'brunch' is a $65 buffet.
